KATIE SNYDER
Katie is an impassioned trauma-informed breathwork facilitator, yoga and meditation teacher, sound facilitator and embodiment guide. Her love for yoga has taken her through over 15 years of practice and has been the guiding heartbeat of her life throughout those years, setting the foundation for her exploration deeper into the realms of the heart. She completed her first 200 hour training in the Ashtanga and Kundalini traditions in Birmingham, AL and went on to deepen her Kundalini studies through the Kundalini Research Institute in Austin, TX in addition to supplemental trainings in iRest Yoga Nidra and Trauma-Informed Yoga. Katie employs multiple types of yoga into her teachings from her studies and experience including Kundalini, Hatha, Yin, Restorative,Vinyasa and Yoga Nidra. She has profound respect for the healing capacity of breathwork and deep relaxation via gong sound healing and Yoga Nidra and is honored to hold space for others through deep release. In addition, her background in Occupational Therapy fosters her passion to work with injury prevention and recovery, helping to find a supportive yoga practice for every body.
Katie returned home to St. Louis in 2019 to nourish her roots and care for her mother through her experience of Alzheimers and is grateful for the tools she has cultivated through the years to support her through the healing path of heartbreak, grief and trauma. She holds and guides others with great reverence through their self-healing journey and offers support in 1:1 and group containers. It is Katie’s ultimate wish and intention that each individual has the felt-sense experience of safety, peace and home in one’s body, mind and heart.
