DR. ARIA THOME
Dr. Aria Thomé holds a Level 2 Practitioner Diploma in Integral Sound Healing from the Academy of Sound Healing as well as a Doctoral Degree in Sacred Music, with an emphasis in choral music. Her academics, classical voice training and ethnomusicology sound studies, focusing on their practical therapeutic properties.
She recently completed her advanced diploma in Level 2 Tuning Forks, giving her further knowledge and skills in the field of sound healing with a variety of healing instruments. She is also a certified gong practitioner.
Throughout her career she has done extensive research in the realm of Gregorian Chant, Western Plainchant, Byzantine, and Judeo-Christian psalmody practices. She has also studies Torah cantillation, Carnatic (South Indian) singing, Tuvan throat singing, as well as Vedic chanting. These allow her to help facilitate healing through the medium of Voice.
Aria is a composer and leader of Kirtan and Bhakti yoga devotee. She continues her sound healing practice through her company, AriaSound108, giving individual healing. She is adamant proponent of helping everyone to use their voice confidently as an instrument of self-healing and discovery. She hold a special place for healing voice trauma in the Queer community.
